Free Trial Terms & Conditions

  • Free Trial consists of one day pass for use of club facilities.
  • Free Trial Offer is subject to availability.
  • Iveagh Fitness Club reserve the right to refuse admission.

Membership Terms & Conditions  


Club

  • The Club shall be known "The Iveagh Fitness Club" (hereinafter referred to as "the Club").
  • Members of the Club are bound as a condition of membership to comply with the rules set out below. This is to ensure that the facilities are properly and safely used and that all members have full advantage of them without interfering with the enjoyment of others.
  • The Club shall be operated as a proprietary club owned by QUINN-hotels Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "the Owner") and located at Christchurch, Dublin 8. The Club will be administered by its Manager and/or such persons as the Owner will decide.
  • The Owner has sole responsibility for the control and operation of the Club. The extent of the facilities of the Club and any additions, deletions or replacements thereof shall be at the Owner's sole discretion.

Membership

  • Persons wishing to become members of the Club shall complete an official application form and submit it to the Club Manager.
  • The Owner shall have absolute discretion to reject any application for membership or renewal of membership; or cancel any membership at any time, without giving any reason for doing so. In any such case, any appropiate refund of all or part of any fees will be made.
  • The Owner and Management of the Club reserve the right to require any member, guest or person to leave the Club premises at any time.
  • Membership not renewed within 30 days of its expiry is deemed to have expired.
  • Membership may be renewed on payment of the prevailing fee and in accordance with the terms and conditions then in force.
  • In the event of Direct Debit being returned to the Club unpaid, membership may be terminated until the outstanding balance and an administration fee are paid.
  • Membership is not transferable from person to person. Members should note that this provision includes the non-transfer of membership from one person to another within the same family.
  • By joining the Club, members automatically accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of the Club.
  • The Owner may withdraw use of all or part of the facilities of the Club for the purpose of undertaking maintenance work or any other work considered necessary. Compensation will not be given for any such closures.
  • Full members are entitled to use the Club during normal opening hours. Off peak members are entitled to use the Club from 9am-5pm on weekdays, from 8am-8pm on Saturdays and from 9am-8pm on Sundays and Bank holidays. Weekened members are entitled to use the Club from 5pm-10pm Fridays, from 8am-8pm on Saturdays and from 9am-8pm on Sundays and Bank holidays. Student members must have a current full time student ID and are entitled to use the Club during normal working hours.
  • On acceptance of an application form for membership, the applicant will be issued with a membership keyring which will remain the property of the Owner and, upon termination of membership must be returned to the Owner.
  • All members must produce their membership cards on each occasion they wish to gain entry to the Club facilities. This is mandatory on every occasion you visit the Club. It is essential for insurance, security and identification requirements.
  • In the event of losing the membership card, a fee will be payable for a replacement. Prices for replacement membership cards may increase.
  • If any member wishes to terminate his/her membership before it would normally expire, no refund or subscription will be made.
  • The Owner and Management of the Club reserve the right to restrict the numbers of persons using the Club at any one time.
  • The Club Management reserves the right to utilise the Club facilities for special events, classes or other activities it may deem desirable.
  • Membership is restricted to persons aged 16 and over.
  • Membership may be cancelled. 30 days written notice must be provided to the Club's administration department. The Club does not accept phone, fax or email correspondance.
  • The Club allows a Membership to be put on freeze for a minimum of 1 month, up to a maximum of 3 months in any one year of membership upon payment of relevant freeze fee. This policy applies to all 12 month memberships. The Club Management will have absolute discretion to reject any freeze application.

Guest Policy

  • Subject to availability, each member should be entitled to purchase two guest passes at any one time for use by guests to the Club. All guests must complete a guest registration form at reception before using any facilities. A guest fee is applicable and is subject to change without notice. Guest passes can only be purchased on the day of use.
  • All guests are bound by the Club rules. Members shall at all times be responsible for the conduct of their guests whilst on Club premises and should ensure that such guests comply with the Club's rules and conditions of membership. Members should not leave the Club before their guest.
  • Members should not introduce a guest who has been refused membership by the Club or whose membership has been terminated, without first obtaining the approval of the Club Manager.
  • Members intending to bring guests to the Club should book their guests in advance by phone or in person.
  • The total cumulative visits allowed for any one guest may not exceed six times per year.

Safety and Hygiene

  • Members shall not use the facilities of the Club while under the influence of alcohol, anti-coagulants, anti-histimines, vasa constrictors, narcotics or tranquillisers.
  • Members with diabetes, heart problems, high/low blood pressure, on strong medical prescriptions, or who have any form of medical condition should consult their doctor before using any of the Club's facilities in order for them to be satisfied beforehand that it is safe for them to do so.
  • Members are particularly advised not to undertake strenuous physical activity for which they might be medically unfit and the Owner will not be in any way responsible for any harm which may come to a member as a result of him or her, within the Club any activity which is beyond his or her physical capacity. Members are advised to have a medical check-up before embarking on strenuous activity.
  • Members are advised to allow one hour after pertaking of a meal before using the Club's facilities.
  • No food or drink is to be brought into any part of the Club and only food and drink purchased in the Club may be consumed on the premises.
  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the Club area.

Code of Conduct

  • All Members area expected to behave properly in the interest of the correct use and enjoyment of the Club.
  • Any Member whose conduct is considered to be detrimental to the best interests of the Club or its reputation may have his/her membership suspended or terminated.
  • Members and guests are required to dress in a proper manner appropriate to the various Club activities.
  • All equipment is to be returned to its correct position after use.
  • No equipment may be bought in and used in the Club wihtout the consent of the Management.

Opening times

  • Opening Hours
    Monday-Friday 6.30am to 10.00pm
    Saturday 8.00am to 8.00pm
    Sunday and Bank Holidays 9.00am to 8.00pm
    The times at which the facilities shall be available to members and guests shall be at the discretion of the Owner.
  • The Owner reserves the right to alter the opening times of the Club.
  • Members must vacate the pool, gym etc. 30 minutes before closing.

Animals and Pets

  • Animals and Pets are not permitted in any part of the Club.

Liability

  • Each Member and guest engaged in the activities of the Club and making use of its facilities is responsible for insuring that he/she is properly equipped and that his/her state of heath and physical condition are such as not to involve any risk to himself/herself, nor to any other person making use of the Club.
  • The Club accepts no liability for accident, injury or misadventure caused by any person whilst using the Club. Members and guests are responsible for their own insurance arrangements in respect of any injuries which may be suffered by them, or caused to them by any third party whilst using the Club facilities.
  • Lockers are provided in the changing rooms for daily use by Members and geusts. Personal belongings may not be left overnight in lockers. A charge will be applicable if items are to be retrieved on this basis. Unclaimed property is kept on Club premises for goods belonging to any Member or guest. In particular, the Club does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to the valuables of any person whilst on the Club premises.

Variations

  • The Management reserves the right to amend and add to these Terms and Conditions as it sees fit and Members should observe any amended or additional conditions or rules, so made.

Complaints and Disputes

  • Any complaints concerning the Club or dispute or difference about the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, shall be referred to the Owner of the Club whose decision shall be final and binding.

Leisure goods for sale and hire

  • Towels may be hired at reception for a fee. A refundable deposit is also payable. Locks, swim caps, goggles and a range of merchandising are also available from reception.

Particular facilities

  • Swimming Pool
    In the interests of hygiene, users of the swimming pool are required to shower before swimming. Swim caps and appropraite swim wear must be worn in the pool at all times. Diving or any misconduct which interferes with the proper use and enjoyment of the pool is strictly forbidden. The use of outdoor shoes is prohibited at all times.
  • Fitness Suite
    For safety reasons this area must be kept dry. Users of these facilities are therefore forbidden from entering the gymnasium while wearing wet clothing. Members are required to carry a towel while using the gymnasium. members must wipe down equipment after usage. Sports shoes and correct attire are required when using the gym. The booking of a computerised fitness assessment can be made at reception. Twenty four hours notice of cancellation must be given.
  • Jacuzzi/Sauna/Steam Room
    Swimwear must be worn in the jacuzzi at all times by Members and their guests using the jacuzzi. Swimwear or suitable towel must be worn in the sauna/steam room. Any persons found interfering or tapering with the controls of these facilities shall have his/her membership suspended or terminated.
  • Sunbeds
    Sunbeds are avialable during opening hours. The sunbeds operate with €1 or €2 coins only. (€1 represents 60 seconds of sunbed use). Users must wear suitable goggles while using the sunbeds. Instructions are posted in each sunbed area and must be complied with by those using the sunbeds. The Owner shall not be responsible for the consequences of any person failing to follow such instructions and shall be entitled to remove from the Club forthwith any such person.
  • All of the Terms and Conditions contained herein apply equally to members, temporary members and guests alike.
